Skenes Makes All-Star History
- Less than a year after being taken first overall in the ‘23 Draft (364 days) Skenes will be taking the field as an NL All-Star
- He is the first player in MLB history to be taken 1st overall & make an All-Star team in the same year
- After receiving the nod, Skenes said:
- “Obviously, starting the year in Triple-A, the odds of going to the Major League All-Star Game are pretty slim, so that wasn't one of my goals necessarily or expectations for this season,”

Pete Alonso tries to tie Ken Griffey Jr.
- The 2x HR Derby champion is looking to add a third title to his resume
- With another victory, he would tie Ken Griffey Jr.’s record of 3 Derby titles (‘94, ‘98 & ‘99) since the competition began in ‘85
- He leads the Majors with 210 HRs since 2019 & has participated in every Derby since then
