  • After committing, Henderson said:

  • "This will be my first competitive one ever, so I'm just looking to be competitive out there. I mean, obviously going to win it,"

• Seth Lugo first to 11 wins

  • Lugo pitched 6 scoreless innings with 10 strikeouts in the Royals 6-2 win over the Guardians

  • He now leads the MLB with 11 wins

  • He is now the front-runner to start for the AL in this year’s All-Star Game

• Lance Lynn makes history

  • Lynn set an MLB record, throwing throws fastballs for 75 of 79 pitches over 6 scoreless innings

  • After the game, closer Ryan Helsey had this to say about Lynn:

  • “He, obviously, doesn’t throw the hardest, but he kind of has that dog mentality and he just challenges guys on every pitch and makes them beat him.
